Thank you for our discussion yesterday on my key interest of Palo Alto Utility department’s plan to encourage and force residents and businesses to change out their gas stoves, gas water heaters, and gas furnaces with electric versions. This issue has not yet come before council for formal approval, but only updates on the ’Plan’s development progress. I suggest that if this plan does get close to coming to council that a Saturday workshop be planned and held for residents and businesses become informed and discussed. I have a website that explains the issues of moving away for natural gas appliances. Monthly heating bills would double. See http://www.paloaltoenergy.org Good luck on your Palo Alto city council member bid.
